Unfortunately, reliability is not the same across all cars. Despite their popularity or appealing styling, some models conceal faults capable of turning an everyday journey into a mechanical nightmare.

Developed to make diesel engines cleaner, AdBlue is a liquid additive that lowers emissions of polluting particles. Yet what was intended as an environmentally friendly answer has become a nightmare for many motorists.

Stellantis French brands in serious trouble

The investigation carried out by the UFC What to Choose consumer association in 2022, together with the The Voice of the North survey, found that brands within the Stellantis group are especially affected by this issue.

Citroën, Peugeot and Opel are the manufacturers most frequently named by dissatisfied motorists. Their prominence may partly reflect the popularity of these marques in France, but the scale of the problem remains worrying.

Among the models cited most often, Peugeot stands out, unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. The 3008 and 308 are particularly affected by AdBlue system failures.
