Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded launched with 10-year motor warranty

The washing machine carries a 3-year warranty, while its motor is covered for 10 years

Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded, a new washing machine designed for fully integrated installation. It is already listed on JD.com at 1,199 yuan (US$175).

Compact built-in design and washing capacity

With a cabinet depth of 516 mm, the appliance is intended to fit more easily into kitchen or utility-room recesses. Its maximum load capacity is 10 kg.

The model features a 525 mm-diameter drum and offers 24 wash programmes. According to the manufacturer, it can remove 35 types of stubborn stain. It uses a direct-drive motor, with a three-year warranty for the complete appliance and a 10-year warranty for the motor.

Xiaomi Pengpai smart-home integration

The washing machine supports the Xiaomi Pengpai ecosystem and can be controlled through the brand's mobile app and/or Xiaomi smart speakers. It can also work with other smart-home devices: once a wash cycle has finished, Xiao Ai can instruct a dryer or drying rack to lower, while bathroom or kitchen lighting can be switched on automatically to make unloading more convenient.

Xiaomi also introduced two very affordable refrigerator models today.
